The short answer to this question is 'yes, of course you can'.
You can choose almost any colour or style of gravel you like, as long as its not a rounded kind (like river pebbles).
The longer answer is this: to build a road we need the gravel to lock together, basically to form a solid mass for vehicles to drive on. To do this we need the larger bits you think of as gravel, and smaller bits down to sand sized parts called 'fines'. This mix of large and small angular rocks is called 'road-base', and this mix of sizes and shapes is what enables the gravel to lock together to for a solid road instead of a loose layer of rocks.
Now road-base comes in a limited supply of colours, some of which may match what you want. But there is another option. We can build the roadway as normal, and then layer it with 30-40mm of your particular choice of gravel topping.
As you can see below from these few examples, these toppings come in a huge variety of colours, stone materials, shapes and textures. They cost substantially more than road-base, but as they are used as just a topping instead of making the whole road thickness, the final cost can be minimal for the incredible effect gained.
